Hi,
I recently installed matplotlib 0.87.3 (compiled from source) on a kubuntu 6.06
I notice, both when using mpl embedded into an application and when using it with pylab, that before drawing a new graph window the following error happens:
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 168
Major opcode: 145
Minor opcode: 3
Resource id: 0x0
Failed to open device

The graph is then correctly displayed and everything then proceeds normally, but I guess it is not completely normal it happens (an old matplotlib version on debian sarge gave no errors).
