How to switch to v1.1.0 after upgrade

Hi, all

I have installed v1.1.0 from source code at :

/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/matplotlib

But whenever I am using python test.py, it still refers to the old v0.99.

could you please tell me how to update to the new version ?
