I've probably done something stupid, but when I try the following, entering
return as the password I get:%setenv CVS_RSH ssh
%cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@...54...:/cvsroot/matplotlib login
CVS password: cvs [login aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)I'm sure the login used to work, as I managed to get cvs matplotlib.

George: This is all explained on matplotlib download | SourceForge.net. It doesn't look like you did anything wrong. Perhaps you are behind a firewall?
