Deleting the color_overhaul branch

Hello,

I've been looking over all PRs to the color_overhaul branch. It appears
that half the commits were merged into master [1], and consequentially
1.5.0. The remaining commits were cherry-picked to master as well.

I have re-milestoned all those PRs (and several dependent issues) to v1.5.0
now. There is one remaining open PR #4290 [2]. Since GitHub now supports
changing the base branch, I have re-targeted this PR to master.

Can the color_overhaul branch now be deleted?

OK, it is now gone.

Also, I've struck out all the mentions of backports to that branch.
