It’s a great plot. Are you planning to add this feature to matplotlib?

The long term goal is to have it integrated into matplotlib but I’ve to make sure first I can produce all the 3D plots that the regular 3d axis can do. Then I’ll propose it to the team or it will live on it’s own. Since there are no dependency but matplotlib, it should be quite easy to install.

I make a picture by using vtk file format. (Sorry it is a simple shape…)
