ZeroDivisionError when drawing axis

OK, now I am getting the ZeroDivisionError as well. These were caused
by recent changes to ticker.py. We'll get it cleared up shortly.

Well, that's a great news ! I had remorses because I didn't have the time yet
today to upgrade my copy of Numeric and give another try as you adviced me
yesterday...

I think I was able to fix this. pcolor_demo.py works for me now, and I also
checked with backend_driver.py. Changes in CVS.
