mplot3d - ploting 3d triangular mesh model - need help

hi all,
please is there any one can tell me if it's possible in mplot3d to plot 3d
triangular mesh model with a colormap different from the Z variable. I
don't find example in tutorial for this.
thanks.

No, this is not possible. Support for triangular mesh functions in mplot3d is currently very limited.

If Mayavi is an option, there is a triangular mesh function available:

http://code.enthought.com/projects/mayavi/docs/development/html/mayavi/auto/mlab_helper_functions.html#enthought.mayavi.mlab.triangular_mesh

Hope this helps,

thanks Ian for your reply,

It is a pity, because it is very useful to plot simulation result on
irugular 3d grid.
