I have recently set up a simple tutorial on how to create gui applications with wxPython. One of the examples shows how to embed matplotlib plots in the application.
It is only a recompilation of tutorials found on the web, including the matplotlib website, but the example is provided as a template application that
can be downloaded and used to spawn plotting applications in minutes.
