[Matplotlib-devel] Statement of Interest Google Season of Docs 2023 Program

Dear Matplotlib team,

My name is Muhammad Rafly Andrianza, I am writing to express my interest to join the Google Season of Docs Program for your organization. With a strong background in technical writing and a passion for creating clear and concise documentation, I believe that I would be a valuable addition to your documentation team.

I have 4+ years of experience in Technical Writing and I am an open-source-lover contributor to Open Source Software organizations like AsyncAPI, The Mifos Initiative, Linux Foundation, and Redhat Ansible. I also was selected as a Mentee for The Mifos Initiative at GSoD’21 Program.

I have extensive technical writing experience, having worked in various industries including software development, financial services, online retail, and IT consulting. In my previous roles, I have created user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and other technical documents. I am proficient in using tools like MkDocs, Docusaurus, Readme.io, Gitbook, Confluence, Jira, Balsamiq, Visual Paradigm, and Snagit to produce high-quality documentation. I implemented also the Docs-as-Code approach using Git & Markdown.

In terms of the work I would do with your organization in this GSoD Program, I would focus on the project scope based on the proposal said. And I would also work closely with your subject matter experts and the team to ensure that documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

I understand that your organization is looking for a technical writer which is already contributed to your organization. While I have not worked at your organization before, I am confident that my skills and experience would enable me to quickly become familiar with your products and services and produce effective documentation.

Please refer to my resume to know my personal & professional information and also please to refer my portfolio for my working references in previous experience.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further.
