Hello,
I upgraded to matplotlib 3.0 and font rendering quality with the MacOSX
backend definitely decreased. Is it a known issue? What changed in the
MacOSX backend to cause it?
Thanks. Cheers,
Dan

This is not a known issue.
What version did you upgrade from?
If you remove the contents of ~/.cach/matplotlib does it fix the issue
(guessing it is a font search related issue)?
Can you include any screenshots? Are you using any non-standard fornts?
Are you using latex?

Hi Tom,
This is not a known issue.
Please discard the bug report. It was an issue caused by my
configuration as I was messing with it to debug the problem for which I
sent a patch in the other mail.
Thank you. Cheers,
Dan
