Error from ``python setupegg.py develop`` using trunk

Hi,

I run mpl from the svn trunk, but I ran into a problem today after pulling the newest version (my last update was probably a week ago). The full build output is copied below.

I build from trunk using the following commands:

$ python setup.py build_ext --inplace
$ python setupegg.py develop

and my build failed on setupegg.py. To be honest, I'm not sure what the second line even does, but in the past, I've run into problems without it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the noise; I think you're right: this error doesn't appear to be matplotlib related. I tried reverting to old revisions of mpl and that didn't help. Which means, I probably screwed something else up on my system.

I'll see how things work with ``python setupegg.py develop``. Thanks for your help!
