Coloring Pictures In Multiple Shades

I have Python and Matplotlib. I want to use them to color pictures in multiple shades.

Take a look at Image tutorial — Matplotlib 3.4.2 documentation and let us know what’s unclear in that tutorial

I tried that. I do not understand.

Can you at least tell us what you’ve tried and how it hasn’t worked?

I do not know how to work the software. I want to colorize a map like this.

@munleyj you are going to have to put some effort into gaining some understanding on your own There are lots of tutorials that make exactly a plot like the one you show, and no one is going to retype them here. You might start at cartopy and various tutorials. Introduction — cartopy 0.19.0rc2.dev8+gd251b2f documentation

I dont even know where to start.

like Jody said, the cartopy tutorials may be good. Or maybe the MetPy Monday videos? MetPy Mondays #1 - Conda Installation - YouTube
