basemap conversion to Google Earth?

Hello -

Can basemap help with a coversion to Google Earth coordinates and mabye even a kmz file?

Mark: AFAICT, google earth uses geographic coordinates (just plain lat and lon, with no map projection). Basemap could help if you have data on a map projection grid, and you want to convert it to lat/lon.

KML/KMZ is just a file format that Google Earth uses to store information, such as placemarks, descriptions, ground overlays, paths, and polygons. Basemap doesn't have any ability to read or write these files, but contributions are always welcome.
